Kokusairengokai Kobudo (Weaponry)  (ages 8 and up)

Kokusairengokai Kobudo is a traditional weaponry style affiliated with Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do.  Kokusairengokai is one of only two traditional weaponry systems on Okinawa.

The traditional style of Okinawan weaponry evolved after conquering Japanese samurai seized all of the Okinawan Islanders weapons and the Okinawans were forced to develop a system of defense against the Samurai’s sword using only the implements of farmers and fishermen.

The traditional weapons taught at Impact Martial Arts are: The Bo,  The Nunchakus,  The Tonfa (Tuifa), The Kama, The Sai, and The Eku.
