TESTING FOR YOUR NEXT BELT RANK

 

 

If, for some reason, you are eligible to test but unable to attend testing, speak to your instructor about testing privately so that you do not fall behind your fellow students in rank.  However, private testing is very limited and should only be used if there are no other options.

 

Testing normally occurs on the 4^th Friday of each month and consists of a class in which students appear before the Instructors Board to demonstrate their proficiency.  Testing begins at 6pm.

 

TESTING FEES

 

Testing fees for all classes listed below is currently $35.00 (per test). 

This is for all kyu ranks below Brown Belt.  This includes Adult Shorin-Ryu, Junior Shorin-Ryu, Weaponry, and Lil' Dragon rank tests.  See specific testing prices for higher ranks under the "pricing" link drop down of "testing" for more specific information on higher ranks and the certification program of requirements. 

 

To be allowed to test, you must have prior approval by your instructor that you are ready to test, have all the appropriate school patches present on your uniform, as well as make sure that all class dues are up to date. This includes past testing, class dues, and other fees due to the school.  All debts must be cleared up prior to being allowed to test for higher Kyu ranks.  

 

For Lil' Dragon rank testing, these younger students must be approved to test from their immediate instructor and also by one parent, stating that they agree that the student is ready to test.  They must also meet all other student testing requirements as stated.

 

TESTING RATES FOR DAN RANKS (Black Belt Ranks)

 

All training and tests except Black Belt are included in Black Belt Club rates. 

 

All testing fees for students ranks below Brown Belt testing is a flat $35.00 per rank test.  This includes; Adult Shorin-Ryu, Junior Shorin-Ryu, Weaponry, and Lil' Dragons. Brown Belt testing is $45.00.
