ATTENDANCE

 

Attendance is the key to progress.  We recommend two classes a week to gain maximum benefits, but some of our students do just fine with only one class a week.  Please inform your instructor of any obstacles to your regular attendance, so that we may assist you in overcoming them.  Overcoming obstacles and experiencing the exhilaration of victory is one way we teach our students how to build self-discipline, confidence, and perseverance.  Through the exercise of this responsibility, we all learn the value of teamwork.  TEAMWORK IS ESSENTIAL!

 

ATTENDANCE RESPONSIBILITY FOR BROWN AND BLACK BELTS    

 

Brown and Black Belts bring with them responsibilities as well as privileges.  It is your Brown or Black Belt responsibility to our Association to maintain your physical and mental discipline by regular training. Together, we are part of one of the largest Karate Associations in the world.  At Impact Martial Arts, we intend to maintain the high standards of International Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate before and after Black Belt.

 

SIGN-IN SHEET

 

When attending a class, all students must sign in on the sign-in sheet.  This enables us to keep track of the student’s hours needed for advancement.  Signing in is also designed to help teach responsibility for their actions.  Dates that are not signed in for on the day of the class attended may not be added later.  

 

CLASS TIMES

 

Please refer to the schedule for class times and please be on time for class.  Making sure to arrive early enough to allow time for the student to get dressed and be on the floor ready to start class.

 

Late arrivals disrupt the class and show a lack of respect to the instructor and classmates.  Do not be surprised if your student comes home complaining that they had to do push-ups or received a disciplinary action for being late. We don't like to punish students, especially if their lateness is due to their parents. Be excited to be on time and please let us know if you are going to be running late.
